CMFAds – Blog advertising, low cost, high value

I joined CMFAds a few years back (can’t exactly remember when). At first I was sceptical about CMFAds. After all I was earning peanuts (seriously that’s what I thought back then!). Then again, I realised I should not expect to get rich overnight with CMFAds. It is not about the money. It is about the exposure for my blogs.

After all exposure is what CMFAds about (blog advertising, low cost, high value). This is not “get rich quick” so you have to be patient and persevere. It is difficult for me not to love CMFAds.

#1 Blog Advertising at Low Cost

I can get 50 unique clicks for just $0.20 (it means I get 50 unique people to visit my blog).

For as low as $0.30, I can get 10,000 page views (impressions). This is known as Network ads. While it is not guaranteed that people will click on the ad, at least my blog banner makes appearance 10,000 times (often a little more) on the blogs with CMFAds code.

The latest ad available is known as Fireworks (Firework Ads). Get 50 unique clicks for $1.00. It is different from Spikes because you don’t have to click on the ad to earn money. You earn money when other people (anyone, not just members of CMFAds) click on a Firework ad on your site. The rate – $0.008 (4 times the rate of clicking on Spikes, and you don’t even have to click).

At the rate of $0.002 per click (also known as Spike), you might think, “meh, it is not worth my time”.

After long hours of working on different projects, I decided to take a peek at my account and there was a surprise waiting for me.

PayPal is worldwide trusted. PayPal is useful when you want to shop internationally (online) and receive payment.

I am going to talk about using PayPal as a saving account.

If you are having a personal account, you can treat your account as a saving account especially if you are one of those who can’t save money in a local bank.

Advantages of using PayPal account as a saving account:

• The chances of being able to keep your money in PayPal is higher because it would take some time for withdrawal (therefore, you won’t get the rush to withdraw your money)
• Even if you do withdraw the money, you will have to wait at least 2 to 3 days to get the money in your hand.
• A back up in case of emergency (running out of money from your local bank account, need extra money for other purposes or something else).

Disadvantages of using PayPal account as a saving account:

• You won’t be earning interest from the money you keep in your account (not like local savings account).

Who is suitable to use PayPal as a saving account?

• People who are dealing with international transactions (buying / selling)
• People who have international business (receiving foreign currencies)

* If you do not belong to any of these categories, you are not suitable to use PayPal as a saving account.

I have recently closed my Google Adsense account so that I can open a new account (due to personal reason).

I have earned less than $100 but Google said that they will pay out whatever I have earned within 90 days.

After waiting for some time and no news from Google, I sent them an email asking about the payment and they replied that the payment is already processed.

They gave me the MCTN (Money Control Transfer Number) and asked me to get the cash from any Western Union agent.

I went to the local CIMB but unfortunately, the bank is under renovation, so it is not operating.

None other banks nearby offer Western Union service but there is a post office, which bears the Western Union logo.

So, without waiting any further, I went to the post office and asked about the Quick Cash service.

Yes, they do have Quick Cash service.

What you need to know?

1. Please photocopy your IC (one copy).

2. Write down your MCTN and Google’s information, if you can’t print out the info. You will need to write these information in the form. MCTN is the most important so don’t write wrongly.

I filled in the form, took a number and waited for my turn.

When it was my turn to go to the counter, I passed the form, waited for a while, and then the lady said,

“Our system is offline right now. Please wait for a while.”

I had been so excited about getting the money and this really turned me off. Nevertheless, I waited, patiently.

After 10 minutes, she called and gave me the money. It wasn’t much but it was enough to make me happy.

Overall, Adsense payment through Western Union is indeed a better choice.

You might be lucky that your clients pay 100% in advance. Some clients would pay at least 50% in advance. However, there are also clients who tend to ‘forget’ about paying when it is due.

Generally, we hate to assume the worst so we need to think positively when a client is not paying on time.

However, you should do your part as well in terms of getting the payment. Payment can be delayed due to your own actions.

How do you make sure they pay up without causing an argument?

1. It is best to have a contract or agreement stating the terms and conditions that both of you agree. You should mention about the payment details and invoicing system in the contract / agreement. If your clients are not following the terms and conditions, you can use the contract / agreement to go against them (rules and regulations according to your location – please check with your local enforcement).

2. Timing is very important. Be sure to send your invoice right after you have completed your work.The soonest you send the invoice, the faster you can receive your payment (assuming that your clients are going to pay you).

3. Don’t forget to follow up once you have sent the invoice. It is important to follow up because some clients might not notice the invoice you have sent to them thus causing a delay in getting payment. As we know emails can go wrong sometimes. Resend the invoice if necessary.

4. If emails don’t work, it is time to give them a call. Talk politely and ask them if they have received your invoice and the payment is ready. Money is a very sensitive issue so be sure to use small words when discussing about the money.

5. If none of the above works, you should be heading towards the experts such as Freelancers Union for help (check whether you are eligible). Different location has different set of rules and regulations. Be sure to check out yours.

If everything else fails, you should consider to place a report on Ripoff Report or Scam Radar.

Is Triond a Scam?

There are way too many scam programs out there and therefore, we should all beware when we come across any money making site but Triond is for real.
