Definitely or Definately – I Definitely Have To Explain This

The question is ‘Definitely’ or ‘Definately’?

The answer:

The correct spelling is ‘Definitely’.

I am not bias but from my observations, Australians love to use ‘Definately’ in their sentences. I have mingled, chatted and dealt with many Australians through my VA job and this problem is repeating itself everyday.

However, this misspelling is happening everywhere in the world.

So, this is why I write this post. Hopefully this helps.
