I am sure you have a Twitter account. If you don’t you can sign up at Twitter in just seconds.
The thing about Twitter is not many people realise the potential of Twitter in driving more people to your blog or website and offering work for you.
I have a Twitter account known as @Wconsultation and at the moment I have 97 followers. Not many followers like other popular Twitterers but just another 3 more followers to reach the 100th mark (would you follow me?).
Anyway, my point is people show interests in what you are doing and who knows what opportunities might be knocking at your doors in the future?
The best thing about Twitter is you can post your latest blog posts to notify others – so they can read immediately or later.
Example:
Latest: What To Do When You Are Rejected http://tinyurl.com/ao2vgv
Apart from posting the latest blog post to Twitter, occasionally you can give out tips to attract more followers. Whether tips on writing, grooming or anything that is your expertise, there will be someone following you.
So, you can show off your skills and talents in your area of writing to prospective employers who might be watching you from the back.
Follow the people that interest you in terms of their expertise and there is a chance they will follow you too in return (although not everyone will do that) but the most important is to follow those who interest you. Do not get pressured into following everyone as it is much harder to follow the progress of everyone.
If you are using Triond to publish your articles, you can even use Twitter to twit the latest publications so that your followers can read your latest work on Triond.
These are how you can flatter your business through Twitter, the small yet powerful tool to market yourself in the freelance industry.
